A suction mount is a consumable. Heat cycles a windshield through fifty degrees in a day, and after a couple of summers the cup lets go: usually on a hot afternoon, usually onto the gear lever. Replacing it costs ten dollars and takes a minute, which is why these sit on their own page rather than inside a kit.

The mounts are not interchangeable, and the reason is the arm rather than the cup: each one is cut for the ball socket and the weight of the monitor it holds. Match the code on the back of your screen. For the dash cam the answer is different again: an adhesive pad rather than a cup, because a camera that lives behind the mirror should not be re-aimed every time it is knocked.

Questions people ask

What buyers ask about the Yakry monitor mount

Why does your Yakry suction mount stop holding?

Heat and time. The cup loses its seal after a season or two of a windshield going from freezing to scorching, and the cure is a new cup rather than more force on the lever.

Will a Yakry mount fit your monitor?

No. The arm and socket are cut for a particular screen, so match the code on the back of yours: Y13, Y45 or Y84.

Can you fix a Yakry monitor to the dash instead of the glass?

Yes, with the adhesive pad, though the picture is easier to read when the screen sits at eye height on the glass. A pad is the better answer where a state rule limits what may be stuck to a windshield.
