Baby car cameras: what to settle first
A rear-facing seat points at the trunk, and the usual answer, a convex mirror on the headrest caught in your own rear-view mirror, gives you a small, doubled, dark version of a child. This is the same idea with a lens: the camera straps to the headrest, the monitor sits on the glass or the dash, and in the dark the infrared fills in what the mirror cannot. Three practical notes before you order. The ball joint matters more than the pixel count, because you set the angle once with the seat in place and then leave it. The 6.9-inch model is the one to take when two seats are occupied: the screen splits and both children are on it rather than one at a time. And the honest limit, which counts here more than anywhere else on this site: a screen is not supervision. It tells you a sleeping child is still asleep. It does not check the harness, it does not watch the road while you watch it, and nothing here is a reason to take your eyes off what is in front of the car.
Every screen size and cable length in Yakry gear is one click away, and the kinds on this shelf are baby car cameras or baby monitors.
Questions people ask
What buyers ask Yakry about baby car cameras
Where the camera clips, how the picture comes on, and what a screen does and does not tell you about a child in the back.
Where does a Yakry baby car camera mount in your car?
On the headrest of the seat behind the child, held by the strap that comes with it, aimed once with the ball joint while the seat is in place. The monitor goes on the glass or the dash within a glance of the mirror.
Will a Yakry baby camera show you the seat at night?
It switches to infrared, so the picture goes monochrome and shows the child and the seat. It does not light the cabin, which is the point: nothing wakes a sleeping passenger.
Can one Yakry monitor watch both of your children?
The 6.9-inch system takes two cameras and splits the screen between them, which is the arrangement for two seats. The single-camera models show one seat at a time.
Does a Yakry baby camera replace checking on your child yourself?
No. It tells you that a sleeping child is still asleep. It does not check a harness and it does not watch the road while you watch it: it wakes with the ignition and shows one picture, nothing more.
